We are now into the Fall season. This is a great time to start thinking about your fall bulbs like tulips, daffodils, crocus etc.We carry a large selection of different types and sizes of bulbs.
What you need to do:
You need to start by selecting a sunny location with well drained soil. They do not like to have wet feet.
Plan to plant the bulbs soon after you take them home.
You can add some peat moss or compost to your soil.
Add some bone meal or bulb booster in the hole before planting.
You can clump them together to make a statement or you can disperse them throughout your garden. You do not need to take anything out to plant the bulbs just simply plant around the plants.
When planting remember to look at the bulb and place the part with the roots on the bottom. If you cannot determine which end is which you can place it on its side and it will eventually make its way up.
You take the bulb and plant down about three times the depth.
After you get them in the hole all you just cover them with soil and give them a drink of water.
If you have issues with mice or moles you can cover with mulch to try and keep them away.
We have our best selection of bulbs in September.
They need to be planted before the ground freezes they need the cold in order to germinate.
