Breakfast on the Farm is back and headed to Summerside, PEI! 🚜 Join us at Kool Breeze Farms on July 27th from 8am to 11am for a free breakfast and a celebration of PEI food & farming ahead of Food Day Canada! Enjoy games, tours and the chance to meet PEI farmers. The Simmons family of Kool Breeze Farms has been farming in Summerside since the early 1900's, and the farm produces eggs and grows many crops just inside the city limits! Family Place is having their annual PEI Touch a Truck again this year at Kool Breeze Farms on Sunday, August 25th from 1pm to 4pm (Rain date is Sunday, September 8, 2024). It’s $5 per person (under one year old free). There will be trucks, fun-filled attractions, facepainting, food and fun for the whole family! Sunday, September 15th from 1pm – 4pm: free event! Join us for an afternoon of fun on the farm for our Annual Scarecrow Festival and PEI Open Farm Day! We have the field of fun with straw bale creations, and a mini corn maze! Everyone is invited to dress up for the scarecrow contest to win some great prizes. Take a wagon ride and learn about life on the farm. Chris Gilfroy will be carving pumpkins, and Alan Sonier will be providing great music. There will be lots of fun activities for the kids! Mark your calendar and check out our photos on Facebook from previous years’ festivities. It will be fun for everyone!

On Saturday, October 12th from 10 am – 2 pm,  Kool Breeze Farms is hosting the 31st Annual PEI Giant Pumpkin & Squash Weigh-Off. This is a free event for the public to enjoy. If you would like to participate in the weigh-off please have entries in from 9 am-10:30 am, with the pumpkin weigh-off at noon... bring your family, friends, and neighbors! Registration fee $15- this allows you to be in all the categories for the giant pumpkin & squash weigh-off. A registration table will be open at Kool Breeze Farms on October 12 from 9:00 am - 10:30 am for contestants to submit their pumpkin and squash entries. There will be a BBQ ($), Cavendish Farms fry truck ($), free wagon rides, free activities for kids, no charge for entry to the field-of-fun and contests for everyone! There will also be a corn maze ($), and we will be selling pink pumpkins with 100% of the proceeds going to the Canadian Cancer Society.

We're so jolly about our 2nd Annual Christmas craft fair at the garden centre! Admission is by donation. We are not accepting vendors currently.
