What you need to know to Plant & Grow

• Sowing: Lettuce is a sun-loving, cool-weather crop, so sow your seeds as soon as the soil thaws in the spring. Sow about 3 mm deep in rows 45 cm apart. For a continuous supply, just keep on sowing every two weeks.
• Care: Your plants will thrive best in well-drained organic soil, so don’t get cold feet! An even supply of moisture is a crucial part of the journey to ensure the best head development. Gradually thin your seedlings to 30 cm apart.
• Harvesting: When your lettuce is ready, cut the head off at the base. But don’t let it bolt—once it starts shooting up a flower stem, it’s a sure sign the leaves are getting bitter.
• Germination: You’ll see them emerge in a chilling 7-10 days.
