What you need to know to Plant & Grow
- Sowing: In a sunny site with deep, organic, well-draining soil, sow successive crops every two weeks from early spring to early summer as long as the temperature remains cool. Lay out the 2-metre tape in the desired spot and cover with 6 mm of soil. Keep rows 45 cm apart.
- Care: Keep the seedbed evenly moist during the 7 to 10 day germination period. For best seedling emergence, avoid letting the soil crust over.
- Harvesting: Thin seedlings to 5 cm apart—thinnings can be used as baby greens. Late summer crops can also be attempted.
