What you need to know to Plant & Grow
The seed tape provides a hassle-free method for sowing, ensuring each seed is perfectly spaced.
Planting: In a sunny site with rich, deep, well-worked soil, sow your seed tape in early spring, or again in mid-summer for a fall crop. Lay the tape in a shallow trench and cover with 1.2 cm of soil. Maintain even soil moisture, especially during the 8-10 day germination period.
Care: Because beets have a compound seed, each one may produce multiple sprouts. While the tape greatly reduces the need for thinning, a light thinning of the sprouts to 7 cm apart may be required to ensure your roots have enough space to form.
