Peppermint Swiss Chard Seeds, OSC

Peppermint is in a class by itself. Bright white petioles dressed with pink stripes from bottom to top contrast brilliantly with dark green savoyed leaves. Peppermint creates a visual pop that will catch any eye and is perfect for specialty markets and home gardeners alike.  Grows 60-80 cm in height. Use this bolt tolerant chard as an ornamental plant, an edible plant..or both!

How to Grow

Chard grows best in well drained soils with a pH of 6.5-7.5. Sow seed about 1-2 cm deep and 2.5 cm apart in rows 45 cm apart starting in mid spring. When using as an edible green, sow see every two weeks until early summer to help ensure continuous supply. Germination occurs in 5-10 days.
